A seal is usually a rubber ring, which is most often made of rubber or other plastic that meets the assumed technical requirements. A boil is used to seal rotating elements of a system with a maximum internal pressure of up to 0.1 MPa and which, during operation, are immersed, most often in a funnel, various types of lubricants and sometimes gasoline or water. The most common use of seals is to seal shafts and power transmission systems or drive systems of machines and devices. There are different types of seals, the most common are box (two-part) seals, sealing rings with a spring around them or seals with a partly metal casing (cover).
Seals prevent oil or lubricant leaks and keep contaminants out of the system.
